After all the drama, doom and gloom surrounding extra time or "sudden death" in the London 2012 Olympic Fencing Events, not to mention the controversy over how "whippy" a foil blade "ought" to be, I thought that we could all do with a good laugh.

In this glorious short animation (or 'cartoon' as non-movie types tend to call a film form of this type) we see a foil bout in which Olympic admin would unquestionably decide that the blades were too "stiff", and a memorable last second which provokes laughter, not tears. Enjoy!
